  4. StegSoft SHOW is an image viewer with image processing capabilities made 
  5. especially for OS/2 version 2. Many halftone dithering algorithms allow

  57. SHOW was translated with a 32 bit compiler to take advantage of the power of 
  58. the new OS/2 version. The system requirements for running this program are as 
  59. follows:

  61. Γûá 386 or higher based personal computer. 
  62. Γûá 6.0 MB of memory. 
  63. Γûá One diskette drive. 
  64. Γûá A hard disk with 200 kB free space. 
  65. Γûá Operating system OS/2 version 2.0 or higher. 
  66. Γûá A mouse. 
  67.  
  68. The availability of a numerical coprocessor 387 or 487 is not necessary for 
  69. running SHOW. However, SHOW will use the coprocessor if present. In this case, 
  70. the performance of this program will be considerably increased.

  75. To install SHOW on your system, copy the file show.exe to a directory of your 
  76. hard disk. Be sure to copy the SHOW help file show.hlp to a directory included 
  77. on the HELP environment variable (see CONFIG.SYS file).

  79. If you want to access this manual from every directory, you should add the 
  80. directory name where the file is placed to the environment variable BOOKSHELF 
  81. (see CONFIG.SYS file).

  83. After having followed these steps, you should have a ready-to-run SHOW copy on 
  84. your hard disk. If you have modified your CONFIG.SYS file, please reboot.

  86. You may also want to integrate SHOW into your desktop. For that purpose please 
  87. refer to the section Integration into the OS/2 desktop.

  163. The File menu contains commands that you use to open, save and print images. In 
  164. addition, it also contains the command that you use to exit the application.

  210. The Window menu contains commands that you use to set the picture displaying 
  211. options and modify the program window behaviour.

  215. Original size                   If checked, your image will be displayed in its 
  216.                                 original size.

  218. Window size                     Modifies application window size. 
  219.  
  220. Adjust window size              If checked, the window will be stretched to the 
  221.                                 image size.

  223. Aspect Ratio                    If checked, the image's aspect ratio will be 
  224.                                 preserved.

  226. Use Palette Manager             If checked, ths physical color palette will be 
  227.                                 changed each time you modify an image for 
  228.                                 enabling a better color representation.

  230. Save options                    Use this command to save the current settings.

  256. After having installed SHOW, you can create a program object to start SHOW 
  257. directly from the desktop. Follow these steps to create a program object: 
  258.  
  259.  1. Open the Templates folder. 
  260.  2. Drag a copy of the Program template to the desktop or to a folder. A window 
  261.     will appear prompting you for the settings of the object to create. 
  262.  3. Enter the path and the file name (SHOW.EXE). If you want, you can also 
  263.     enter the name of your desired working directory. 
  264.  4. Rename your program object. 
  265.  
  266. If you want to open an existing image object, you can follow different ways: 
  267.  
  268. o Drag your image object and drop it over the SHOW program object. SHOW will be 
  269.   started and your image will be loaded and displayed. 
  270.  
  271. o Open the SHOW program object. Select the File menu and choose the Open 
  272.   command for loading an image file. Select the folder where you placed your 
  273.   image, select the desired file and open it.
